About the Artists
David B. is an experimental poet and sound artist living in Oakland with his wife, daughter, and Giant Schnauzer. He is a computer lab teacher in a public elementary school in Oakland. His work has appeared in various on-line journals including Ubuweb, Digital Paper, Aslongasittakes, Spaltung, and Bath House. His work has been presented in various festivals around the world including: Radiophonic Creation Day, Soundscape '08, the Portland Sound Poetry Festival, and the Electronic Rainbow Coalition Festival. David R. lives in Berkeley, California. He is a teacher and instructional coach in the Oakland public schools. His poems and translations have appeared in Rattle, Raintown Review, Measure, Unsplendid, Birmingham Poetry Review, Modern Haiku, Umbrella, and others. He has been a Pushcart Nominee and a Nemerov Sonnet Award Finalist. His first book, The Wild Geography of Misplaced Things (White Violet Press, 2013) was a Semi-Finalist for the Richard Wilbur Poetry Award and the Donald Justice Poetry Prize.
